The Metro Senators  travel baseball program designed with one simple goal in mind. We are a program that develops talented players in the D.C. metropolitan area, and teaches them to play the game the right way.

The Senators travel baseball program boasts two teams at the 13u, 14u, junior varsity, varsity, and college-prep age levels. Our program combines two long running travel baseball programs, Dominion Dragons and Virginia Shamrocks (former Virginia Barnstormers). With only two teams at each level and an abundance of highly trained coaches, we offer something almost no other high-level programs in this area can offer: knowledge of every single player’s strengths and weaknesses. This is crucial when it comes to developing players and preparing for high school/college recruitment.

Our middle school athletes are taught exactly what it takes to be productive players in their high school program.

Our high school athletes are taught exactly what it takes to play at the college level, and for some, the professional level.

The Senators’ coaching staff consists of current and ex-high school, college, and professional coaches, players, and scouts. Our staff has personal relationships with almost every public and private school baseball staff in the metropolitan D.C. area, virtually every college coaching staff in the nation, and numerous organizations in Major League Baseball.

Players from inside and outside of the Beltway who are in our program also get year-around access and instruction at Metropolitan Baseball Academy, formerly Dominion Baseball Academy and NOVA South Baseball Academy, two of the area’s longest-running indoor baseball facilities.

Our program is on a mission to develop our players and compete with the best travel baseball programs on the East Coast.
